The First Chapter — Disney Lorcana Set Guide

The First Chapter (set code TFC) is where Disney Lorcana began — the game's 2023 launch set and the foundation every collection starts from. Here's what's in it, what to chase, and how to complete it.

What it is

The First Chapter introduced Lorcana to the world: the six inks, the core mechanics, and a roster of iconic Disney characters reimagined as cards. As the first set, it's both a sentimental favourite and the home of many foundational cards collectors still want today.

What's inside

• All six inks — Amber, Amethyst, Emerald, Ruby, Sapphire and Steel are all represented, so it's a complete cross-section of the game.
• Just over 200 cards in the base set, spanning Common up to Legendary (see the rarities guide).
• Enchanted chase cards — the set's ultra-rare, full-art Enchanted versions are the headline pulls and the priciest cards in the set.

The chase cards

The marquee cards are a mix of standout Legendaries and their Enchanted alternate-arts. Fan favourites from the set include Mickey Mouse — Brave Little Tailor, Elsa — Snow Queen, and Maleficent — Monstrous Dragon, among others. How to complete the set

The First Chapter is no longer the current set, so it's mostly past its retail window — which changes how you finish it:

• Singles, not packs. Buying sealed older product is expensive and random; for an out-of-print set, buying the specific cards you're missing is far more efficient (see where to buy).
• Trade for the gaps. Doubles from newer sets are great currency for older singles — build a wishlist and trade list to fill First Chapter holes.
